Welding electrodes E7018 are intended for manual arc welding of especially critical structures made of carbon and low-alloy steels, when increased requirements for ductility and impact toughness are imposed on the weld metal.
Welding in all spatial positions, except vertical from top to bottom:
- bottom;
- vertical;
- ceiling.
The main area of use is in the installation of critical structures made of low-alloy steels, when increased strength of the joints is required.

Among the features are the following:
- The coating consists of fluorine compounds and carbonates - this gives easy ignition and high stability of the arc during welding.
- Due to the composition of the coating, the electrodes provide the best protection of the weld pool against atmospheric influences. The brand is optimally suited for work in open spaces. This makes it especially in demand in the construction and repair of bridge and pipe structures.
- The welded seam has increased toughness and ductility. Welded structures can be used in northern latitudes at low temperatures.
- The composition of the coating of the electrodes contains iron powder, which makes it possible to compensate for the volumes of metal splashed or burnt out during welding. Due to this, the consumption of rods of this brand is on average 10-15% lower than that of many products of other brands.
- Due to the presence of organic compounds in the coating, it demonstrates high resistance to moisture and dampness. As a result of welding, a smooth, homogeneous seam is formed without cavities and crystalline cracks, resistant to corrosion and mechanical stress and having a longer aging process.
- Good initial and re-excitation of the welding arc.
- Soft and stable combustion in all recommended spatial positions (bottom, ceiling, vertical from bottom to top, horizontal on a vertical plane).
- Slag has good fluidity and is easily separated after solidification.
- Allow to obtain a good formation of welds in various spatial positions.
- The seam has a beautiful appearance.
